Hi...I had my rheumy lower my dosage of arava from 20 mg to 10 and it seemed

to help a bit. Now I am off of the arava altogether because I was losimg a

lot of hair.

I took mtx for only a short time since it wasn't doing me much good. I don't

remember having the big d with it. I think I get more of the loose stools

when I drink coffee first thing in the morning and also take my meds. i have

to have my cup of joe.

If you want to check some of the side effects people can get from their

meds....go to askapatient.com and type in your med. I bet there are a huge

review on mtx and arava.

paula I recently went off arava for the same reason ( diarrhea). but I restarted

the mtx in shots...Yes I seemed to losse more, but I dont know if its from the

mtx?

Did the diarrhea get progressively worse the longer you were on the medication?
