Guest guest
Yes, I know that feeling when I'm having a flare. The only kind of shoe that I can wear when this happens are Teva flip flops with the " mush " sole. They are heavenly when your feet are affected by RA. -Jackie > > > Ok, So I have been told I have R.A. after about a year or so > of having all kinds of testing and so on and so forth. > > Was on Metotrexate, but had to be taken off it for the last > 3 weeks and can't go back on it for at least 2 more weeks > ( My Rheum only works 1 day a week, Wed. during the summer) > when I get rechecked... > > In the meantime, I had been taking 2 .5 mg of Prednisone daily. > If needed I was told I could up it to 3.. which I have. > But the last 2-3 days I have something going on with my > right foot. Guest guest
Hi Micki, Sorry about your diagnosis of RA. Is there any good rheumy's in your area, you might need to find another one. Is your rheumy planning on tapering you off the prednisone? There are a lot of RA meds out there, and your doctor should find one that will help your RA, without using steroids full time. The prednisone does help, but there are a lot of side effects that goes along with it. Not sure what you can be experiencing with your foot. You might need to see a foot doctor. I was having a lot of foot pain, the foot doc thought I had plantar fascia, but it turns out I have RA in my heels. It can be very painful. It sounds like your doing all you can to comfort your foot. I really think your rheumy needs to be more aggressive with your RA. I hope someone has some idea what's going on. I do hope you get some relief soon. Take care, Tawny --- In , " Koban " <setaspell@...> wrote: > > > Ok, So I have been told I have R.A. after about a year or so > of having all kinds of testing and so on and so forth.
