Guest guest
Hi all, I was considering adding B12 sublingual and D3 vitamins to my regimen, as per the suggestoins of Betty Iams, who is doing great after 15 years following a diagnosis of PPMS. Anyway, in researching these vitamins I have some concerns, as follows: 1) RE the B12 sublingual (Methycoalabim (sp??), every brand I had has lots of fillers. Does anyone know of a good brand. Also, I think I have heard this can mobilize mercury. Does anyone know? 2) Re the Vitamin D3 (coalciferol (sp?)), my research indicates that this form of Vitamin D is most absorbable in a supplement but that it comes from animal products. For example, I called one company and they said they make theirs from a sheep's lanolin. That sounds kind of gross. Of course something like Cod liver oil might be a better source, but that only delivers 400iu per serving, whereas I have been told that MSers should be supplementing Vitamin D at levels of closer to 2000-5000iu per day, depending on their blood test levels. So anyway, does anyone have an opinion on whether these D3 sources from animals could do more harm than good, given that we don't know what's going in the manufacturing? Thanks for any opinions, input, thoughts, etc.
