Guest guest
I am new to RA but my first thought is you might be anaemic... have you had your blood checked recently? Guest guest
Yeah Lea, unfortunately its caused by the monster known as RA. Recently my doctor gave me something called Nuvagel for exhaustion because I was falling asleep at the job. Nuvagel is great, it does wake you up enuf. Check it out with your Rheumy. OKD
Guest guest
Lee, unfortunately that is one of the symptoms of RA. Some of the meds can help with that. I hope you're in the care of a good rheumatologist. Guest guest
Have your doctors ever had you tested for sleep apnea? I didn't expect much when I got checked, but was surprised to see that I had stopped breathing over 300 times in one night and at one time it was for well over a minute! I can't hold my breath that long under water!! It was pretty scary. I wear a CPAP mask everytime I sleep now. I can always tell when I need to be re-titrated, I get exhausted again. Hope this helps..... Doreen I usually don't post just lurk and read but I thought I would ask this of u guys as nobody else can seem to give me much of an answer. Guest guest
Thanks everyone for the replies, It's good to hear your opinions/advice. I have had anemia since I was a teenager off an on but I take iron supplements along with folate and multi-vitamins to try and keep that in check. Anyway thanks again. Lee:)
Guest guest
Congratulations on your sweet new grandson Debs! No wonder you are so tired - my goodness! Any my gosh, you gotta feel for those husbands who need their precious sleep. That just stinks. I feel your exhaustion!!! I have 2 girls - 6-1/2 and 4 years old and they just don't stop!!!!! I think that they are starting to understand that mommy has some bad days - I don't want them to have to know that yet, but it gets bad some times. Well it sounds like Noah is being taken care of well, and I will keep him in my prayers that he will continue to " bulk up " so he can come home to his family soon, and will pray that you get some relief from pain and all the work you are doing for your family! Venting is good!!! Donna > > > Sorry that I have been so quiet here in So Fla. but I have been EXHAUSTED. My daughter had her baby boy on 6-19-10 @ 8:00 am weighing 4 lbs, 9 oz. 16 inches. He is in the NICU for quite some time. Yesterday he stopped sucking for some reason, so they are bringing in a speech therapist to find out why they change of events. During this time, my daughter and her 2 yr old have been living with us since she first came out of this hospital for loosing all her amniotic fluid. And then she had the baby last weekend, so we have had the baby non stop and my daughter ,moved back in with us when she was released following her C-section for at least 2 more weeks with the 2 year old. Her husband comes and goes whenever the spirit moves him. Most nights he goes back to their condo so that HE can get a good night's sleep!! I don't thinik that he has any C-section scars ?????????Ugh, am so p-------d with him. > > I am soooooo tired, I usualy fall asleep before the 2 year old and then wake up @ 5:00 am worrying about everything. My food budget has had to be stretched from 4 to 8. My hands are so swollen and painful from the baby and the cooking and housework. Since I hace been sick (aboutg 10 years) I haven't done many of these things. But now that my daughter and her little family are here, it is like a frat house! I love them all so much, but I never realized how much of a toll my disease had taken on me. This time of year, I take care of my familiy graves in Chicago. After that, someone from the cemetary was trying to solicit a " hole " at the cemetary and I almost said 'yes' ahd how soon can it be ready!!!! Well, no really, not I feel so miserable. I want to try one of biologics for the arthritis, but because I have had trouble in the past, the rheumy keeps saying I have to wait, but there is no definite date. My HMO won't pay for oxycontin ($1400.00 for 60 pills) so they are trying MS contin with percocet as breakthru pain. > > Sorry to have vented to all of you, but sometimes it just has to come out. Thanking you in advanve. And please keep my grandson, Noah Canaan, in your prayers, he still looks so tiny. > > Gentle, tender, angel hugs watching over all of us. > > > Debs in FL > > > > > > > > >
