How to stop exacerbations (or close to it)

When I first started dealing with my exacerbations, it was horrible. I felt

drunk, weak, slurred my speech & had nausea & I didn't know what to do - didn't

even know about these groups back then either. I didn't find anything that

helped immediately, but I do think fasting did help tone it down a lot. But

after that, I then searched on how to prevent them. One thing that seemed to

help, in fact it stopped them cold from that point forward, was taking Myelin

Sheath Support (MSS) by Planetary Herbals. Along with some basic supps, but I

believe the MSS was the major player as I had been taking the basic supps before

and while I felt somewhat better, they didn't seem to affect my exacerbations

much.

I traveled a lot for a week at the time and when I left them home by mistake, I

found that I had an exacerbation within about a week afterwards. Even when I

restarted the supp. Since then, I've taken them religiously for the last few

years, and while I feel 'not right' sometimes (so I know I'd be having an

exacerbation if I wasn't taking this), I don't have exacerbations like I used

to.

A couple of months ago I quit taking them 'just to see' if I still needed them.

And while I didn't get to the point of a full exacerbation, I went way beyond

just 'not feeling right'. I believe I had a mild exacerbation, but very mild.

So, at least at this point I feel I still need them, but I'm able to reduce my

dosage.

When I first started, was taking 6 a day, or even 8 if I felt 'not right' like

an exacerbation was coming on (but it never did). Now I'm taking the

recommended dosage of 4 a day and it seems to be holding me fine, although I do

tend to have mood swings from time-to-time.

Hope this helps.
