I have been surviving on alkazelter plus. I hope all of you who were out of commission last week are feeling a bit better about now. >Yesterday got 20 min in. nearly killed me. How many times do I have to tell you ladies - Do NOT exericse if you can't breathe!!! " Aerobic " exercise requires being able to breathe freely, and if you can't, your heart rate increases way too much to pump that blood through your body and your blood pressure increases way to much to carry the load. Exercising aerobically when there's no oxygen coming in *can* lead to heart attacks or a stroke, so on the days you can't breathe through your nose easily, REST! If you insist on doing anything, do some slow stretching or toning - things that require nice slow, deep breathing, the type of exercise that's called " non-aerobic " or isometric. If you don't believe me, ask your doctor next time you go. Sue in NJ
Guest guest
I've been noticing heartburn lately when I drink my morning coffee. [low dose naltrexone] Feeling sick Hi, I don't know if you are a coffee drinker or not but since starting LDN I can not drink anything with caffeine in it or I get naseaus(sp). It may be worth a try to cut out the caffeine. Hope all is well, Kathy Make free worldwide PC-to-PC calls. Guest guest
All of this might come across as simplistic commonsense, still, maybe it will help. From what I recall offhand one of the main risks with diarrhea is dehydration. So you probably should be drinking liquids every half hour or so. Normally the large intestines pull water out of the material being digested, but with diarrhea that is not happening. Usually the diarrhea reaction probably has something to do with trying to flush out toxic material, food poisoning, and the like. I might have mentioned this before, but I've read somewhere that all the brain's neurotransmitters are also found expressed in the gut. People with ASDs have (among other things) abnormal levels and distributions of neurotransmitters, which probably has something to do with the apparent (?) higher levels of allergies and food intolerances. So, probably common sense again, it's probably a good idea for people with ASDs to try and be more careful than most people when it comes to new foods or drugs that effect the gut. (Start with smaller doses, half-pills even.) Heph Susie Barratt <susannah2005uk@...> wrote: Hello All, Last 2 days i was consipated and last night I took 2 constipated tablets. Guest guest
Kim, if you had a total hyst in 2006 and are not on any hormones, that could very well be the problem. As I recall, my hot flashes were never " wet. " Why are you not on some estradiol? Val From: hyperaldosteronism [mailto:hyperaldosteronism ] On Behalf Of kimsstay The wet flushes are probably regular 'hot flashes' I think (I am 51 and had a total hysterectomy in 2006). Guest guest
Try looking into the effects of the Toprol. It is one wicked drug. After being on it for 3 months I marched into my doc's office and told him I'd rather die of high BP than stay on it. That's when he took me off and sent me to see the endo. You can't quit it without supervision, but my life improved ten-fold when I got off it. Guest guest
, Thank you so much for your response. Yes, I have considered the effects of Toprol, and in fact both my doc and I want to wean me off of it. 1st, however, I need to get my BP down. We just inc'd the Spiro to 75 mg 2xday (up from 50 2xday), and so far (it's been almost 2 weeks) this has not done the trick. My BP is still running 150-160/100-110. I get my Potassium checked next week to make sure it is not getting too high. Kim in MN
Guest guest
Hi , I wonder if it's environmental allergies? Guest guest
Hi Nicola, Since you are new to the diet I just thought I'd remind you that what you're experiencing is quite likely die-off and/or healing symptoms. While you're looking around Bee's website you might want to read the articles about die-off and find what you can do to ease your symptoms. An Epsom salt bath will be a great thing to do but there are other things you can do as well. jackie > > > > Hi.
