Guest guest
We've had tremendous winds too. We've got several large trees in our yard and their are branches all over the place. Guest guest
Hi Sherry - Welcome to WebWarriors! If you look beyond the bickering that sometimes goes on here, you will find good info. I have never been on tx - just alternatives since my diagnosis in October of 2000. I will not put my health in jeopardy by going on treatment. I am doing just fine using the supplements I am on. In the beginning I wanted to take everything beneficial. As a result, up until a few months ago, I was eating handsfull of pills every day. Several months ago I started on liverfriend's SuperBlend, which is geared toward liver health and contains almost everything I was taking and more in powder form. It was formulated by a fellow hepper, Jay Emmons (liverfriend.com). I had blood taken on Friday and am awaiting the results. I anticipate good results, as usual. I get tested every three months. My care is paid for by the state of NJ, since I am low income. Sounds to me like you're taking pretty good care of yourself, which is the best thing we can do for our bodies. Love & Blessings, Karolyn > hi there everyone, > my name is sherry and i havent been here in a long time.i dont think > i know anyone here but ill tell you a little bit about myself.i was > diagnosed with hep c june of 2000.v load was 1,187,000 and gynoe type > 1a.im going to be 40 sept 24th.im married and have had 5 children and > all of them r negative from hcv.thank god!!!anyway i was on combo for > 6 months 3 of those months i was on half doeses.after 6 months > medicaid decided to cut me off so i had to stop.since then i got > medicaid back and a new v load count 241.000 ooo!!!! and i > finally got a bx stage 1 grade 1.the doc said she wasnt impressed > that i didnt clear the virus after 6 months but she is taking it into > consideration i was on half doeses for 3 months.otherwise i would be > considerd a non responder.but it did bring my v load down way > down.right now my hepatologist doesnt want me on any txs.i have time > to wait for something better to come out as there is always something > new in the studies.after i was kicked off medicaid and had to stop > combo i was really scared.so i started taking alternitive therapy.not > sure if it was working like bringing my v load down or not but i was > feeling better and had more energy while i was taking all the vits > and herbs i saw where for hep c patients.i got it out of a book > called prescription for natural healing.still again dont know if it > was working but when ur pushed up agains a wall and scared you will > try anything to get better.right now i just eat good food and try to > get a little exercise and live day to day and cherish every day i > have here on earth.and thank god for sites like these that we can > come to and get the support we need. and hope to help others in need > of that same support.well thats me LOL. > i also would like very much to get to know you all here so please > feel free to respond to me. thank you for your site. > love sherry
Guest guest
Sherri, For those who suggest that interferon treatments will harm your body (which is quite possible as IFN is a chemical)and thus poof. other forms of treatment will not, is a huge leap in logic. By suggesting that one would put their health in jeopardy by using current interferon treatments is very illogical as one may put their health in serious jeopardy. Anything you consume is a chemical and may put your health in jeopardy. It is an oversimplification to say that CAM claims are just as good, or bad,as the claims of conventional medicine. Some medical claims are not supported by good evidence, others are. Some CAM claims (for instance, glucosamine) have considerable evidence behind them, others have insufficient evidence, others have evidence against them, some are totally irrational, and some are deliberate scams. Whether the treatment comes from CAM or conventional medicine, it pays to look at the evidence. At least some conventional treatments are discontinued because of evidence; CAM never throws any treatment out - they recycle and reinvent. Just on the basis of probability, it is more likely that a conventional treatment chosen at random works than that a CAM treatment chosen at random works. A sane person may indeed want to seek treatment elsewhere. A gullible sane person will try anything; a critically thinking sane person will try to discriminate between CAM treatments that are " probably " or " possibly " effective and those that are not. > > hi there everyone, > > my name is sherry and i havent been here in a long time.i dont > think > > i know anyone here but ill tell you a little bit about myself.i was > > diagnosed with hep c june of 2000.v load was 1,187,000 and gynoe > type > > 1a.im going to be 40 sept 24th.im married and have had 5 children > and > > all of them r negative from hcv.thank god!!!anyway i was on combo > for > > 6 months 3 of those months i was on half doeses.after 6 months > > medicaid decided to cut me off so i had to stop.since then i got > > medicaid back and a new v load count 241.000 ooo!!!! and i > > finally got a bx stage 1 grade 1.the doc said she wasnt impressed > > that i didnt clear the virus after 6 months but she is taking it > into > > consideration i was on half doeses for 3 months.otherwise i would > be > > considerd a non responder.but it did bring my v load down way > > down.right now my hepatologist doesnt want me on any txs.i have > time > > to wait for something better to come out as there is always > something > > new in the studies.after i was kicked off medicaid and had to stop > > combo i was really scared.so i started taking alternitive > therapy.not > > sure if it was working like bringing my v load down or not but i > was > > feeling better and had more energy while i was taking all the vits > > and herbs i saw where for hep c patients.i got it out of a book > > called prescription for natural healing.still again dont know if it > > was working but when ur pushed up agains a wall and scared you will > > try anything to get better.right now i just eat good food and try > to > > get a little exercise and live day to day and cherish every day i > > have here on earth.and thank god for sites like these that we can > > come to and get the support we need. and hope to help others in > need > > of that same support.well thats me LOL. > > i also would like very much to get to know you all here so please > > feel free to respond to me. thank you for your site. > > love sherry

Guest guest
I know too many people who are worse off than when they started treatment. That's enough reason for me to not trust the current treatment. I would rather not even take the chance. As far as any alternatives I have used, I arrived at my choices by research and not just blind faith. Guest guest
Karolyn, I also know many people, who are much better off than they were before starting treatment, but most of these folks get on with their lives and they are seldom heard from if ever. Would I use this personal anecdote to in the support of IFN based TX for HCV? No, as my sampling techniques are neither scientific nor particular to stage, grade, age, genotype, lifestyle or other pre-existing medical conditions. > > > > hi there everyone, > > > > my name is sherry and i havent been here in a long time.i dont > > > think > > > > i know anyone here but ill tell you a little bit about myself.i > > was > > > > diagnosed with hep c june of 2000.v load was 1,187,000 and > gynoe > > > type > > > > 1a.im going to be 40 sept 24th.im married and have had 5 > children > > > and > > > > all of them r negative from hcv.thank god!!!anyway i was on > combo > > > for > > > > 6 months 3 of those months i was on half doeses.after 6 months > > > > medicaid decided to cut me off so i had to stop.since then i > got > > > > medicaid back and a new v load count 241.000 ooo!!!! and > i > > > > finally got a bx stage 1 grade 1.the doc said she wasnt > impressed > > > > that i didnt clear the virus after 6 months but she is taking > it > > > into > > > > consideration i was on half doeses for 3 months.otherwise i > would > > > be > > > > considerd a non responder.but it did bring my v load down way > > > > down.right now my hepatologist doesnt want me on any txs.i have > > > time > > > > to wait for something better to come out as there is always > > > something > > > > new in the studies.after i was kicked off medicaid and had to > > stop > > > > combo i was really scared.so i started taking alternitive > > > therapy.not > > > > sure if it was working like bringing my v load down or not but > i > > > was > > > > feeling better and had more energy while i was taking all the > > vits > > > > and herbs i saw where for hep c patients.i got it out of a book > > > > called prescription for natural healing.still again dont know > if > > it > > > > was working but when ur pushed up agains a wall and scared you > > will > > > > try anything to get better.right now i just eat good food and > try > > > to > > > > get a little exercise and live day to day and cherish every day > i > > > > have here on earth.and thank god for sites like these that we > can > > > > come to and get the support we need. and hope to help others in > > > need > > > > of that same support.well thats me LOL. > > > > i also would like very much to get to know you all here so > please > > > > feel free to respond to me. thank you for your site. > > > > love sherry

Guest guest
Now I get it. If your kind of sitting in the middle of the road, are not willing to support either ifn or alt/med...then you are attacking someone. If your supporting alt/med,,, your a fine well balanced good person with excellent karma. If you support IFN based treatment, then you will probably spend your life in a dark and fiery if you're not all ready affiliated with Devil at this time. > > > > > hi there everyone, > > > > > my name is sherry and i havent been here in a long time.i > dont > > > > think > > > > > i know anyone here but ill tell you a little bit about > myself.i > > > was > > > > > diagnosed with hep c june of 2000.v load was 1,187,000 and > > gynoe > > > > type > > > > > 1a.im going to be 40 sept 24th.im married and have had 5 > > children > > > > and > > > > > all of them r negative from hcv.thank god!!!anyway i was on > > combo > > > > for > > > > > 6 months 3 of those months i was on half doeses.after 6 > months > > > > > medicaid decided to cut me off so i had to stop.since then i > > got > > > > > medicaid back and a new v load count 241.000 ooo!!!! > and > > i > > > > > finally got a bx stage 1 grade 1.the doc said she wasnt > > impressed > > > > > that i didnt clear the virus after 6 months but she is taking > > it > > > > into > > > > > consideration i was on half doeses for 3 months.otherwise i > > would > > > > be > > > > > considerd a non responder.but it did bring my v load down > way > > > > > down.right now my hepatologist doesnt want me on any txs.i > have > > > > time > > > > > to wait for something better to come out as there is always > > > > something > > > > > new in the studies.after i was kicked off medicaid and had to > > > stop > > > > > combo i was really scared.so i started taking alternitive > > > > therapy.not > > > > > sure if it was working like bringing my v load down or not > but > > i > > > > was > > > > > feeling better and had more energy while i was taking all the > > > vits > > > > > and herbs i saw where for hep c patients.i got it out of a > book > > > > > called prescription for natural healing.still again dont know > > if > > > it > > > > > was working but when ur pushed up agains a wall and scared > you > > > will > > > > > try anything to get better.right now i just eat good food and > > try > > > > to > > > > > get a little exercise and live day to day and cherish every > day > > i > > > > > have here on earth.and thank god for sites like these that we > > can > > > > > come to and get the support we need. and hope to help others > in > > > > need > > > > > of that same support.well thats me LOL. > > > > > i also would like very much to get to know you all here so > > please > > > > > feel free to respond to me. thank you for your site. > > > > > love sherry
