I'm on my 4th Orencia infusion and have not had any allergic reactions.  I am

given Claritin and Tylenol before each infusion, just in case.  I did come down

with a bad upper respiratory infection that lingered, but I cannot (nor could my

doctors) say if it was due to Orencia since they have seen many patients with

lingering upper respiratory ailments caused by a bad virus.  Although I do not

have COPD, I have always been susceptible to upper respiratory infections.  It

might not be a bad idea to take a little extra precaution (stay away from people

that you know are sick, etc.).

I know this must have been answered in the past, but did anyone get bad

reactions from your orencia infusion?I go for my first infusion on Wed. and am a

little nervous.I read that sometimes allergic reactions and/or side effects dont

show till the next day.I took off work the day after the infusion just in

case.Also, I do have a mild form of COPD and there is a warning about that

too.Any input would be appreciated. Thanks,
