Shulie:

I highly recommend my rheumatologist, Dr. Dianne Wollaston.  Her office is in

Pasadena at 3801 Vista, Suite #250 in the Bayshore Medical Tower right behind

Bayshore Hospital.  I have had three rheumatologists since being diagnosed over

5 years ago.  She is the best!  (My first rheumatologist was Dr. Laila Hassan

and I would NOT recommend her to anyone.)  Dr. Wollaston partners with her

patients and listens well.  Call her office at (713) 490-1188.  Tell them

Pou (sounds like " Poe " as in Edgar Poe) sent you.  I have

already recommended several friends to her.  My husband also sees her - he was

diagnosed with R.A. about a year ago.  I have R.A., Fibromyalgia and Sjogren's

Syndrome.  She has been my doctor now for over two years and both me and my

husband love her.  She is very down to earth.

I am a difficult case.  I pretty much stay in a constant state of flair and

have tried most of the medicines out there.  Dr. Wollaston never gives up and

is always optimistic that we will find the right treatment.  She has called me

after hours on many occasions and has " gone the extra mile " for me.  She does

not rush you through your office visits.  She is kind and caring and has a good

bedside manner.

I can't tell you about alternative treatments, but she is very open.  She would

give you an honest opinion about any kind of therapy you may consider.  I hope

you call her.  She is the only rheumatologist I have ever seen that I felt

truly cared about me.

Sincerely,

Pou

Subject: [ ] rheumatologist in houston TX?

Date: Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 7:56 PM

Hi,

it has been a while, since my last post, which is good. But I really want to

change docs. Is there anyone here who would know a good rheumatologist in

Houston TX?

This is a long shot maybe, but I have had a bad experience with the doc so far

and look for someone with knowledge, who is willing to explain and discuss

results etc, has manners and who is open to alternative treatments.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Shulie
