Guest guest
I am not sure how I am supposed to start this. There are a bunch of messages that came to me, last night and more, today. One asks me to introduce myself. I am not sure if this is where I am supposed to do that or not. I am to do that and hope it is the right thing to do. I am 67 years old---68, next month. I been on and off of diets since I was 13. Always losing a littel and gaining it back. I lost significant amounts of weight twice. Once about 35 years ago, lost 110 pounds and over a period of time, gained it back with an additional 40. The second time, about 4 years ago, 75 pounds. I've gained about 56 of it back. I have been reading lots of books about not dieting. A friend I met at another website told me about the book " Intuitive Eating " . Recently, she told me about this on line place where we could talk to each other. I have been working at listening to hunger and satisfaction for about two months. It is a process. I threw my scales out over a year ago. I was weighed at the doctors a couple of months ago, so I have an idea of my present weight. I am hoping to make peace with my body and with foof and with eating. I don't care if I lose any weight. I would love to lose weight----but not if I am going to gain it back. I am so tired of dieting and I hate the thing of losing weight and gaining it back and the way people look at me and the thoughts that go through my mind about what they must be thinking. I am an attorney, a public defender. I love my job. It is hard work, but very interesting and I love to be around attorneys. My name is Helene. ____________________________________________________________ Free quote and debt consolidation information.
