Guest guest
UCSF in San Francisco has a great multiple sclerosis clinic. They have been very knowledgeable and kind. I feel so blessed to be one of their patients. Now I am cleansing my body of the meds I have been on. I started decreasing things a few weeks ago and my mind is clearer. I feel a bit better everyday. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 9:33:47 AM Subject: Re: Anyone know of a neuro in N. ca. ?  Joy, I don't have any names but I can completely relate to your experience. I feel depressed for days after every visit to the neuro. Every neuro I have seen (three in total) have told me MS is progressive and I should just hope for the best. I was told the same thing by a chriropractor and even two natural healers. Two other chiropractors told me " well we'll see if we can slow it down. " I think most of this thinking comes from the MS Societyy's views which trickled down to the med schools and the doctors. It seems like when it comes to MS, so many practitioners are " doom and gloom. " Apparently these practitioners are not aware of all the healing stories or even the stories of those who have remained stable indefinitely. I have only come across one or two natual practitioners with a positivve attitude about healing, although I didn't feel they helped me nearly as much as what I have learned from my fellow peers with MS. I imagine some neuros out there do have a positive attitude but they are few and far between. Most of them probably feel useless because they have put their patients on the Interferons and not advised them to make any lifestyle changes and planted negative ideas in their heads and thus watched them get worse. I really dislike and distrust conventional medicine and the FDA endorsements of anything means ZERO to me. The FDA are the ones afterall who approved aspartame, vaccines, and amalgams. The government proliferates the environmental toxins and keeps cigarettes legal while making THC illegal. Hence, many of us probably got sick because of what the FDA allowed. What a darn shame. But I digress here. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 4:28:59 AM Subject: Re: Anyone know of a neuro in N. ca. ?  I need a new neuro in N. cal from sacramento area and above. Mine is sooo negative it makes me feel like giving up. Everytime I see him I feel worse mentally than I did before. He makes me feel depressed like life is going to be so horrible and he does nothing for the needs I have.
Guest guest
I have been seeing dr. goodin there and he treats me like he hates me. He is always so uncaring and rude. He won't help me with my pain issues or even mark down the decline in my health. Who do you see there? I want someone who does a good assessment when I go in and not just a thunk of the knees and stand on your tip toes and heels. He doesn't watch me ambulate other than to the middle of the room which is two steps. He has no compassion. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 7:51:57 PM Subject: Re: UCSF in San FRAN....  UCSF in San Francisco has a great multiple sclerosis clinic. They have been very knowledgeable and kind. I feel so blessed to be one of their patients. Guest guest
Wow, so your neuro actually got you standing and going from toes to heel AND watched you walk two steps! Mine just brandished his rubber hammer (no doubt to make him feel less inadequate than his rubber brain did). Good luck in finding a good one. Janet To: mscured From: yourbeamofsunshine@... Guest guest
My first neuro (1 of three ex-neuros) did the rubber hammer thing and tickled the bottom of my feet. He diagnosed me after an MRI. I had Babinski reflex, where your feet curl up instead of down when tickled. To him this was indicative of MS and he had suspicions that he determined were accurate based on the MRI (IHO). I forced him to tell me his thoughts (he would rather have waited for confirmation) because my appointment for the MRI was several weeks away and the suspense would have driven me nuts. I had to prepare myself. > > > Wow, so your neuro actually got you standing and going from toes to heel AND watched you walk two steps!
