Thanks, Barbara. I'm hanging in there. I finished my antibiotics on Saturday and

started the MTX again yesterday. I still don't know what to do about the Enbrel.

I have an appointment with my Rheumy on Thursday - I will ask him then.

I finally made an eye appointment and found out I now have to go from wearing

glasses only when reading to TRIFOCALS! Oh my!! It had been over 5 years since

my last exam and I know my eyesight was getting worse, but this shocked me. Oh

well - the good news is that he didn't see any damage from the RA other than

dryness - he gave me drops to use twice a day for that. I'll have my new glasses

in two weeks - I can't wait to see what I've been missing - lol

This heat has been crazy. I try to stay indoors as much as possible. I did go in

the pool Sunday with the grands and had such a good time. I find that getting

back out of the pool is the worst. Even though we have steps and a handrail

rather than a ladder, its the gravity that wears on me - I feel twice as heavy

when I get back out.

Glad to hear that so far, so good with your prednisone taper. I pray you stay

pain free and are able to go down to no prednisone. I also pray for pain free

days for all reading this. It will be a wonderful time here on earth when our RA

is in remission for all!.....Doreen :)

Hi Doreen: I am so hopeful for you that this new med. does the trick

for you. I wish you every success with it.

I will pray this is the " wonder drug " for you. Wishing you pain free

days ahead.

Thanks, Barbara - that's about all we can do - pray and never give up. I also

hope this is the right " combo " . Time will tell. All prayers are welcome in the

meantime.....Doreen :)
