My opinion is, you are the boss . . . the surgeon is working for you.

If you are not comfortable with what is being proposed, then ask for a delay

until you can get exactly who and what you want. I personally wouldn't want

to be under any longer than necessary and I'd also want the first team

working on me . . . no substitutions please! I'm sure your surgeon would

understand . . . But! I am the type that I don't want to be a part of

anyone's learning curve medically or surgically speaking . . . or hair

dressers for that matter! So bottom line . .. when it comes to cutting ANY

part of my body only an expert will do . . . no trainees! ) I say that

seriously but smiling.

As for staples and plastic surgery, I have had reduction mamioplasty

and it was all sutures, no staples.

I had both staples and sutures after my TT. The staples were no problem.They

came out in about a week or two.

I had staples with my abdominoplasty, and my scar is

HORRIBLE!! Far worse than the RNY scar it replaced. My

RNY surgeon did my tummy tuck, for cost reasons, and

he told me that he used staples cuz it was easier and

got me closed up quicker. Given a choice now, I wish

I'd made sure he used internal stitches or something

else.

Go for the best when you do this!!
