Guest guest
I have severe active itching in my hands and feet. It was diagnosed as neuropathy. I take gambetin for it, which is very useful. Raniolo From: Mimi <mimi212@...> Subject: [ ] Itching?? Date: Friday, May 21, 2010, 9:33 AM Â I may have asked this before, so please forgive my brain blips if I have, but has anyone experienced their joints itching? Especially on their hands? If so, does that mean the disease is active? I wonder that because it seems as if I finally (with the help of my PM doc) am getting the pain under control, but I wonder if I would have pain in that itching joint - if that means the disease is active. Did any of that make any sense? What do you think??..... Doreen

Guest guest
Hi Doreen. I don't know anything about the itching, but I am happy you are finally getting the much needed relief from your pain. You must feel like a new you. I hope it continues until you are pain free.  Also, I wa thinking about your claim for SSDI. Anything yet? I just can't imagine how this has dragged on for you. Your stress and other worries must be off the charts. It is so cruel for them not to let you know where they are with your case. I pray it is not just sitting on someone's desk!!! I know how much you need to be approved, and so richly deserve to finally get some financial help, as well as medical coverage. It has a been a very long, hard road for you. It is so unfair to drag it on for this length of time. I hope you get your approval soon.  Take care. You know how much I care about you. You are just so sweet.  Love and hugs,  Barbara
Guest guest
Thanks, ! I already take the Gambapentin, so I might just have to increase it back to the 3x daily like my Rheumy originally suggested. I'll ask him at the next visit..... Guest guest
Thanks, Barbara. I am still waiting for a determination on my SSD. Its been over four years now. Ridiculous! I had a phone conference with my atty yesterday and we're just in that hold pattern still. I've had my congressman involved, too and the last letter they sent him said they would update him again in 90 days if a determination has not been made prior to that. So far, nothing and 90 days will be up in June. <sigh> We'll see. My aunt told me it took my cousin 4+ years to finally get approved also. It does wear on me, though. We so need the financial relief and I want to feel independent again. Not that I'm going anywhere, its just I hate having to rely on someone else for everything. And the medical is another can of worms all in itself! It is a relief to be actively working on getting this pain under control. We're not quite there yet, but we're still working on it. Thank you so much for your love and support. You are the sweet one and I'm thankful for you..... Doreen Hi Doreen. Guest guest
Hi again Doreen. I just don't see the justification in taking so long to make a decision. You so need to be approved and I can not see one reason you would be denied. I know exactly how you feel about not wanting to be a bruden and that you need to feel independent. I do hope that by June {such a long way away} it will be approved for you.  I am glad that the pain clinic is making strides in getting your pain under control for you. Pain is just so wearing on us as you know. At least things are beginning to look up for you.  Have you been enjoying our great Florida weather? I sure am. Have you been into the pool yet? I go in several times a day and so love it. It has made me feel so much better in all ways.  Things are so stressful right now for me. I am taking my husband back to court for his failure to abide by a court order to pay me half of the house value. It was supposed to have it in hand New Years Eve. As of today, I have not seen one penny. I am broke and have given my attorney $9,000 so far. I can't even contribute any money into the house, so my son is really supporting me. This makes me feel like crap. I have never had any money worries or any debt in 30 years. Boy, all this has caused me so much stress. I had to seek out a Dr. for help with all this. I finally stopped all that sobbing and crying, which I thought would never end. I was so stressed, way beyond what I could handle. The dr. said, " I don't know how you got through the year and half with all this " . It was not easy. I am glad I did this for myself. It is killing me to see my 30 year marriage go down the drain. I worked very hard on forgiving my husband, but it took a lot of hard work on my part. I knew I could not go ahead with my life with that burden on my shoulder. I never thought at 70, I would have to start my life over. I could feel myself getting depressed and I hated feeling like that. I had to do something about it. I have a very caring, supportive dr., who has helped me tremendously. I finally feel like myself.  How often do you to go to the Pain management center? I am happy you found someone you could afford to go to. That was good for you, and I know you needed to get that awful pain under control. I do know there are better days ahead for you Doreen. I hope you have a great day. Nice outside right now. One thing about Florida, so many sunny days to enjoy. Take care of yourself. Rest as much as you can. I sure do!!!! ha ha  I know we will talk soon. God Bless you Doreen.  Love and hugs,  Barbara
