Guest guest
With hunger I usually seek a 'type' (protein/fat - filling/substantial or carb - quick pick-me-up) were as with a crave, it usually pretty specific - like Ice Cream or chocolate or even a (horrors!) salad! Craves are often driven by seeing a food or being uncomfortable - emotionally. While hunger is a physical INternal body feeling. When I first started IE, and I knew I was in a 'crave' mode, I would often give into it a la legalization, because if I tried to 'fight' the crave, I'd end up eating MORE as I would then try and placate the crave with things that I didn't really want. Its so easy to eat 1 apple, 2 or 3 pieces of cheese, a handful of crackers, one diet soda etc. etc. instead of just having the blasted candy bar to begin with! Another thing that will help you more is to find a way that YOU can identify and just make 'notes' (mental is OK) on what you feel your response is at that moment - hunger or crave? The more you ask yourself, the better your 'answer' with get Best to you - Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > How do you distinguish between hunger and craving for something you really love? >
