Guest guest
, Of course we want to be bothered with it. It sounds very interesting. Please give us some info on it. At present I'm battling a bit with the whole program, reason being that I'm sticking to it quite religiously, but am not able to shed any pounds. In general, I hardly touch any grains and eat mainly highly beneficials, fruit for breakfast, meat & vegies for lunch & dinner, still with no luck. Perhaps the food combining could help further. I also take Kelp supplements, Vit B complex & Calcium, but still no luck. Any suggestions? Guest guest
, Have you tried checking your ph level? My naturopath (spelling?) told me it's very important to check my ph level (saliva & urine). He said I should check it about twice a week, but I forget, so it's usually once a month. He told me that when your ph level is off your system is out of whack, & therefore medications, vitamins, diets, etc. just can't do the job they are designed to do. Anyway, everytime I get to the point that I'm not losing weight while staying faithful to ER, I check my ph level. I usually find I'm terribly acidic. I was instructed to drink lemon juice & water (I still eat normally-- " ER " ), then the weight starts coming off again within hours. First thing in the morning, I squeeze a good sized half a lemon, & pour it into my 24oz water bottle, pulp & all, & drink it that way, but always use a straw--it will give some protection to your teeth. You can put real maple syrup in the lemon juice, but I like it better with just the lemon & water. Usually one bottle per day is all I drink. There are some other things you can do to counteract the acidity, but generally this is about all I do. If you are alkaline, instead of lemon juice, it should be 1 T. apple cider vinegar & a little honey 3 times a day. Anyone interested should study up on it, because there are several other things reccommended along with the lemon/vinegar drink for people who are acidic or alkaline. I started checking my ph at the same time I started on ER (first part of June this year), I've now lost 23 pounds. Because of severe knee & other joint problems, I do not exercise. And, let's be totally honest here, I'm too lazy to exercise. I " PLAN " to change that when I get off some more weight, because it should be less painful for me when I weigh less. I hope I haven't broken any rules here. I just know it works for me. Guest guest
Brit's room has it's own bahroom. That is what kills me. She can RUN from the livingroom clear to the back of our house(long and narrow) and still make it. Why can't she get from one side of the classroom to the other and not make it? Something is fishy. Guest guest
That is so unfortunate. :-( The body gets under stress when the emotions experience negative things. The nerves go out of whack, the ph gets more acidic and the body is susceptible to getting sick. I'm in no way saying what to feel emotionally. All I can suggest is to guard yourself from negative energy. There's no sense in you getting sick as well. Kim wrote: Greetings, I just spent my morning consoling my Mother. Guest guest
Jana, You are right about your comment."I am so discouraged because of my body fat percentage, but I guess last year it was higher."Even though you still have a high body fat percentage just think of how high it might be now if you arent working toward bringing it down. We all have to keep in mind that even though some of us is losing only 1 pound a week or even maintaining that had we not started trying to eat better and lose weight we may have actually gained another 15 or 20 pounds. It will take time but that % will come down. Don't give up on the job. Sometimes these physical test are just formalities because someone in a main office somewhere says to do them. If the local place you are applying at thinks you can do the job you are applying for you may still very well get the job. So don't give up just yet on the job and definitely don't give up on loosing the weight. I went today to take a physical for a job at the school. I couldnt believe the stuff they have you do for a physical to get a freakin job. They tested my strentgh weight lifting. Crunches I did 12 in 20 seconds and they wanted me to do sit ups without moving my feet or hips and to cross my arms and I couldnt do 1. My body fat percentage is 41% what the hell do they need to know that for. So now I am flipping my lid thinking I flunked this test because I couldnt do 1 sit-up. But I did lift 60lbs 10 times in a minute off the floor to a shelf. I am so discouraged because of my body fat percentage, but I guess last year it was higher. Sorry about my ramble. I'm not sure why they would need all of this information, but I'm so incredibly proud of you. Just think how much better your numbers are now that your on plan. Guest guest
Jana, one nice thing about percentage of body fat is that it comes down pretty quickly as you lose weight. Even a small amount of weight loss can make it jump down quite a bit. I know we all have discouraging days.
