Guest guest
I dont' have the rest of the joke, thank goodness. But my arms swelled up and turned purple yesterday and I ended up forever at my rheumy's office, taking down the swelling. The pain was horrible. They wanted to keep me overnight, but thankfully the swelling started to go down and they reluctantly let me go home. There wasn't anything bad like sepsis (they were suspecting sepsis), just a severe RA flare in my arms probably because I use them so much. If I had not gone, I might have lost my arms because the circulation was so compromised. They are back to normal(ish) today, but still very bruised. I look like I went boxing without the gloves! I've heard of this type of swelling with diabetics, but never with RA. It was scary. I don't have diabetes. My kidneys were not compromised. My liver panel was okay. It was just a freakish thing that seems to happen to lucky me. So I'm on a new-totally-different cocktail of meds soon. How many people take Orencia and how many take Retagade ( I think that is the name..I have pain pump so my memory is not so good right now) I have to decide bw the two today. Plus I have about $5k worth of Humira and MTX in my fridge that I dont' know what to do with now. KElly
