Guest guest
Well group...here I am again I have a new problem..I finally realized what it is. I noticed in the hospital the last week I was in there. The doctor had given me sleeping pills, so I could sleep of course. They made me wide awake, with no sleep. A few nights ago, I took some nyquil and tylenol and some benadryl, wow.....it made me wide awake and could not sleep. Well today mr flu bug hit me...so I took some nyquil, vitamin c, some cough med and tylenol. Well that was 5 hours ago. Before I took that stuff, I was so tired I could barely stay awake, so I took it and went to bed. And when my head touched the pillow.........new life came in me......I woke up.......wide awake. Now 5 hours later I still sit here not at all tired. Meds have never affected me like this before. Of course the ones that are to make you drowsiy. Well for me they very seldom ever did. But they didnt wake me up either. I even turned on the electric toilet in hopes that that would put me to sleep, so far no luck. In case you dont know....the electric toilet is the proper term for television. Has this happend to anyone else? Before or after anything in particular that you noticed? in CO _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
, My husband calls me an alien, because this very same thing happens to me. Meds that are supposed to make me drowsy have me bouncing off the walls. Check the ingredients in some of the meds that you are taking, if it contains pseudoephedrine, that's probably the culprit. I'm pretty sure it is in Nyquil, and is in some cough medicines. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant, and will speed up some people's heart rates and make them restless, and sometimes irritable. It all depends on what your body is sensitive to. Try to find a cold medicine without the pseudoephedrine.
