I did. I was only on it for a few months when I stopped. The stuff made me feel

SO horrible if there were any withdrawal symptoms they were an improvement from

being on mtx!!!!

Hi Joanne,

Yes, I've done this. I've been off for 9 weeks now, Enbrel too. Not sure which

one I'm missing more. I just got blood test results back today and it showed

increased inflammation and my vitamin d is really low inspite of taking 50,000

IU each month. I can feel it, especially in my knees and elbows. I'll be seeing

my Rheumy in a few weeks to review my meds and am sure I'll be back on something

just not sure what. I'm on 2 plaquenil a day right now. I'll be OK to start

taking MTX again, i've stayed on the folic acid and am used to what it does the

first time I take it again after having a cold. I usually get the chills from it

overnight, the brain fuzzies, and that's about it. LOL.

Hi Joanne,

 

I stopped cold turkey because the MTX was causing lung problems for me.  Felt a

million times better within 24 hrs of quitting.  No consequences and haven't

gone back on.  This was 12 yrs ago.

I know this is late but i stopped a couple times due to surgery .....I was

ok its supposed to stay in your system three weeks from what i hear, and i

also had to stop when i took antibiotics
