Guest guest
Thanks and you are right that is one thing I did realize is that I am so blessed to have come across IE because it has truly changed my life and though it is a daily struggle mostly with myself to change my way of thinking I am so glad not to have to worry about the d word anymore, I also am learning to consider my set backs like the ones I had on vacation as learning experiences. So far I am doing well on my re entry and de programing of diet mentality reading posts from the group always helps me. Eva Hi Eva,Nice to "hear" your voice again! We have missed you! Thanks for sharing your I.E. experiences while you were away. I always find it very interesting to see how other people handle being out of their familiar environment, I.E. wise. For that matter, I find it interesting to see how I handle it too! Sometimes it goes very well, and sometimes it starts out good, and then things start to unravel. And it's amazing to me how when things start to unravel, how much old "baggage" comes rolling back into my life.On my last trip, I did well for a few days, then we had a family crisis and I started eating the way I did, pre-I.E. days. Not only did that cause me to suffer from lots of heartburn and bloating and fluid retention, but I also felt very depressed and wanted to isolate. I had to force myself to leave my hotel room.I guess the only good thing about these little relapses that occur sometimes when we travel is that they make you appreciate the sense of wellness you feel, physically and emotionally, when you follow the Intuitive Eating principles.Keep us posted on how you are doing with your "re-entry"! :-)Best wishes,------------------------------------
