Guest guest
Hi Tawny: Thanks, we are keeping our eyes open and watching the storm channel. Can't be to careful, and we have to be prepared, that's for sure. Here in Florida it can be devastating. I was here for hurricane Charlie, and I hope I never go through another one. It was just horrible to see what people lost, and all the businesses gone. I pray you don't get one in Oklahoma. Hugs, Barbara > > > From: tdianaok tdianaok@... > Subject: [ ] OT-Be safe in the path of the hurricane > > Date: Monday, August 17, 2009, 3:32 PM > > > > > > > > To all my RA family, > > Be safe who's in the path of the hurricane. Guest guest
Barbara, We don't usually get hurricane's here, we get tornado's. I will be thinking about you, and keeping you in my prayers. You keep me posted, ok? Hugs, and stay safe, Tawny > > > Hi Tawny: Thanks, we are keeping our eyes open and watching the storm > channel. Guest guest
, Glad your ok, and watching the storm. I've never been in a hurricane, but I see the damage and heartache they cause too so many. Take care, Tawny --- In , <ltdavis_jrdavis@...> wrote: > > I am A - OK now! hehehe! And yes - we are watching the storm status daily - we only see storms that either come from the ton or Myrtle Beach area. But I was living in Charlotte, NC when Hugo hit (1989) - and that was devastating. I always feel for everyone living in Florida because they seem to get the brunt of storms in the East.......... > > > ltdavis_jrdavis@... Guest guest
Hi Tawny: I hope you don't get one of those. They just devastate everything in their path. You be safe too. We will keep in touch, that's for sure. How are things going with you? I know you've been very stressed lately. Hope things work out good for you. Guest guest
, Yes, I know what you mean. They are both devastating: I am pretty safe, I have the good ole' basement. I just go to the garage to get to it, so not so bad. I do need to stock it up a bit,lol Take care, and have a good night, Tawny --- In , <ltdavis_jrdavis@...> wrote: > > Tawny, the only difference a hurricane is compared to a tornado is that there is at least some fore-warning. Other than that, both are just as horribly distructive.. I mean, I realize tornado prone areas have an alarm of some sort but it is not the same as knowing a day or more ahead of time that a storm is coming your way. ..so you be careful yourself! Stock up that basement of yours!!! > > > ltdavis_jrdavis@...
Guest guest
Hi Barbara, I am just trying to shut out all the stress right now. I can't fix anything right now, so I need to just focus, best I can. The cymbalta is helping with the depression/anxiety. The RA pain has started again, the last 2 weeks. I guess, it's a bit of a flare. I'm having shoulder, upper back pain, and the agonizing neck pain. The pain meds don't help at all. So, I'm hoping it don't last. How are you doing? I hope your doing ok, and the pain is leaving you alone for awhile. How's the knee? No storms my way, for now. I will keep you in my prayers, you take care, and buckle down. Be safe, Tawny > > > Hi Tawny: I hope you don't get one of those. They just devastate > everything in their path. You be safe too. Guest guest
Thanks, Tawny. From what I've seen on the news this AM, Hurricane Bill will stay out to sea. The only ones who are concerned right now are those that are living in Bermuda. You are so sweet to think of us " hurricane season " folks.....Doreen To all my RA family, Be safe who's in the path of the hurricane. I will be thinking about you, and keeping you in my prayers. Guest guest
I'm right there with you, Barbara. We got Charlie, Frances AND Jeanne here in Central Florida 5 years ago. We lost power during the first two and I thought I was going to go out of my mind with the lack of A/C. My RA has been full blown for about 3+ years - I can't imagine going through all of that now - I'd be a real mess!! Praying for a hurricane free season.....Doreen > Hi Tawny: Thanks, we are keeping our eyes open and watching the > storm channel. Guest guest
Hi Tawny: I know you have been very stressed out, and I am sorry about that. It is a shame your pain is bad, and you are suffering so much right now. I know how bad stress is for us, and it causes bad flares. Hard enough to live each day, never mind when we are stressing over things. I hope things settle down for you. You have been through so much, I hate to see you suffer again. There are just some things in our lives that don't go well, and we just have to do the best we can to get through tough times. Not an easy thing to do. That is why my life is just day to day, and sometimes, minute to minute. What choice do we have. I so hope you can get your pain under control, and then start to feel better. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I will keep you in my prayers. I also hope you can have as good a day as possible. I am doing good and happy about that. The pool has helped me so much. I do my exercises in it, and also swim 5-6 laps each time I go in. It has been a God send for me. I hope your weather stays good, and no Tornado's. Be safe. Hugs, Barbara >

Guest guest
Thanks Barbara, for the kinds words. I am just staying positive, and just dealing with my pain. It could be worse, so I'm ok,don't worry. I hope to feel better soon. I'm glad the pool is helping you, and your doing well. I live in the country, and so I'm not close to a YMCA, or I would be enjoying some water exercise myself. Maybe next year, we'll get one installed. I would love to have a indoor pool, oh what dreams I have. If I just had the winning lottery ticket:) Have a bless day, Tawny - In , " Barbara " <bcreedon@...> wrote: > > > Hi Tawny: I know you have been very stressed out, and I am sorry about > that. Guest guest
Hi Tawny: You are most welcome. Being positive does work for me too. I know you will feel better soon, and hopefully you will be out of all your pain. Ah, winning the lottery would change your life, and you could get your dream pool installed right away. It is nice to have nice dreams. I know it has made a big difference with me, and I am in that pool several times a day. I am very thankful to have it. Wishing you many pain free days ahead. Take care of yourself. Hugs, Barbara > > Thanks Barbara, > > for the kinds words. I am just staying positive, and just dealing with my pain. It could be worse, so I'm ok,don't worry. Guest guest
It's hard to be positive all the time. I'm doing ok though, thanks for thinking about me. Your so sweet. Guest guest
Oh , I have my days:) I do have really bad days, and I usually don't post much when that happens. When I don't feel AS bad, I write more. I always have pain, don't let the posts kid you. I just deal with it differently. Things haven't been easy in life. I went from a bad childhood, to abusive husbands, with lots of drama. What really changed my attitude, and I don't really share this to everyone. I went overseas, and let's say it wasn't so easy to get back home. This country girl made it though, and coming back changed my life. Im grateful for everything I have. I have health problems now, but I'm here. I take each day, and make the best of it. If it's a really bad day, I just do the best I can. I do have my pity parties, and there are days when I just put my head under the covers. I love to support, and help others. When I was first diagnosed with RA, my life fell apart. I was a working mom, and it was so hard to work dealing with my pain. I had no idea what RA was, but the pamplets I received from the doctor. I had no PC at the time, but I went to the library. Reading, just made me cry more. It took a long time to start dealing, I was not going to be the same. I could no longer work, after awhile. It's still hard to get up sometimes, and look at myself, and stare at the person I have become. I focus on just being here for my family, and here I am. That's me, Tawny > > Hi Tawny, > How are you? I don't know how you always seem to be so cheerful and caring with others. There's that Barbara going on again about her pool ha ha ha ha sorry Barbara, but I am so envious. That's the first thing I'm going to buy when I win the lottery (in my dreams). > Love and hugs >
Guest guest
tawny honey, i was reading in a devotional book this morning that going through trials would either make you bitter or better. Your trials by fire have refined you into pure silver. you are truly one of my heroes. love jane > > > > Hi Tawny, > > How are you? Guest guest
, You are so right. If not for the RA, I wouldn't have my RA family. I might not have a big family around me, but I have a huge family here. It means so much to me, to have the love I get from this group. I am so lucky to have you all. You are special, and know I'm always here, thanks, Tawny > > Tawny, > You are a very special person. Just think how different your life would have been without RA. The people that would have missed out in knowing you. The help and support you give to others is something you cannot buy, it can't be taught. You had to go through all that bad in your life to truly empathise with others. You and a few others in the group, are here for everyone day in day out, always encouraging, always sharing, always giving. Doesn't matter what time of day or night, you and Barbara and Doreen are there. You have all had personal problems to overcome and continue to deal with, as well as the health problems, but that all gets put to one side when someone else is hurting. > > I just wanted you to know, I think you are amazing and thank you for the little oasis in this mad, crazy world. > > Love and hugs >
