Guest guest
What good is a label anyway? My neuro thinks I have MS (13 years down the line) but I am spending all my time trying to prove him wrong (is it , is it Lyme, is it Hypothyroidism? etc., etc.)I believe if we follow the BBD (which isn't exactly harmful to everyone anyway, MS or not), maybe do LDN (don't know cos I don't take it) and look at ways of eradicating Lymes, we should be on top of things. It doesn't really matter what we have, it just makes sense to manage it so yes it does help to know what you're dealing with but other than that, don't get hung up on labels. Guest guest
I think the only reason for the proof of diagnosis is if one needs services, such as SSDI, long-term-disability, handicap parking, etc. > > > What good is a label anyway? My neuro thinks I have MS (13 years down the line) but I am spending all my time trying to prove him wrong (is it , is it Lyme, is it Hypothyroidism? etc., etc.)I believe if we follow the BBD (which isn't exactly harmful to everyone anyway, MS or not), maybe do LDN (don't know cos I don't take it) and look
Guest guest
You're right, .I'd quit my job before they had finished diagnosing me so I never got to get long-term disability, private health insurance, etc.I got my parking badge out of it so what am I moaning about :)Janet To: mscured@...: trekkie323@...: Sat, 6 Dec 2008 13:38:06 +0000Subject: Re: I hate neuros!I think the only reason for the proof of diagnosis is if one needs services, such as SSDI, long-term-disability, handicap parking, etc. _________________________________________________________________ Connect to the next generation of MSN Messenger http://imagine-msn.com/messenger/launch80/default.aspx?locale=en-us & source=wlmai\ ltagline
Guest guest
TRY GETTING ANOTHER OPINION! Before MRI diagnosis was used to diagnose MS suspected sufferers were told to get into a bath of 110+ water and soak for awhile at which time any exacerbation would become very evident... after I was diagnosed with MS I took a warm bath and notice that I couldn't even get out of the bathroom safely! One of the things that is very consistent with MS is raising your core temperature so if you decide to " check " yourself out this way please have somebody close by to put some tepid water in to bring you back to reality! Hi , Isn't it frustrating??? ugh In my own case, I've been able to link it back to something I ingested enough times that, even when I can't figure it out, I now assume that's the case. lol Geez, I just found out my amino acid supplement is from whey. It's *not* marked on the bottle. Went to buy more and the store now carries them in bottles of 100 instead of just 50. Went to grab one of the bigger bottles and, lo and behold, that bottle is marked. > I thought I had lost my mind, had to stand there with the 2 bottles for a minute and really make sure it was the exact same product but in different size bottles.
