Guest guest
thanks barbara and dennis, i will, i understand what you are both saying, i appreciate sharing the info and concern. it is tough finding what works and then weighing the long term side effects. i,too, am more interested in a shorter life if i can have a better quality to do some of the things i like to do...like take care of my rescued dogs.if i had to give them away,go on disability, live on welfare, i think i would commit suicide. but yes, i am due to talk to my pcp, my rheum is of no help at this point. i am not sure why my pcp is more willing to have me start enbrel than the rheum, but my pcp mentioned the rheum is more regulated by hmo's eventho i have bcbs.i am just so tired of being kept sick for so long, not getting much help at all from any of the docs and i have spend thousands of dollars going the fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue alternative doc route, all the supplements, and come to find out i have probably been living with low grade and now severe autoimmunity and inflammation all my life. take care, marg > > > Hi Dennis and Marge: > > Prednisone has been the wonder drug for me. Guest guest
Hi Marge: I know what you mean. Before I moved here from Cape Cod, I was almost in a wheel chair. Moving here is so much better for me. It was so hard to leave my family, friends, and my new little granddaughters. I had to do what was best for me. I just can't take the N.E. weather anymore. As I said before, Pred. is the wonder drug for me. If I got off it, I would be back to square one, in a wheel chair, and in too much pain. I hate the weight that I have put on by taking Pred. daily for 5 + years, but I have to deal with that. At least I have a quality life, and my RA is well controlled along with this, and my RA " cocktail " . We just have to give to get. I hope you will feel better soon, and have some pain free days ahead. Hugs, Barbara > > > > > > Hi Dennis and Marge: > > > > Prednisone has been the wonder drug for me.
