Guest guest
Ok, I've put off asking this question for long enough. Please bear with me - this was very difficult to write, but I just can't stand it any longer. My medications cause chronic constipation. Sometimes its firmer - other times its softer - either way its solid. Since I've switched over to MTX injections, I've noticed that if I have a bowel movement the day of the injection or the day after the injection and its a softer solid, I have intense burning in the anal area. I always pull back on the syringe plunger to make sure I'm not in a blood vessel before I inject, so its not like I've injected directly into my blood stream. Today the burning was so bad that I used an aloe/lidocaine gel externally (intended for sun burn) to try and cool that area down. It worked for the most part - I just don't know what to make of this or know if it is something that anyone else has experienced.
