Guest guest
I need some help here please. I'm not sure if I'm having issues with my RA or meds or it is just me. Ha ha ha. I just got off MTX 3 weeks ago. I was on 8 pills and felt awful for 1 1/2 months. The doc said I should go back down to 6 pills. I did and felt better. Then after a few weeks I started feel awful again. I finally told him I couldn't take it anymore and wanted off. I have been feeling better so far but I'm SO tired still. I get a good nights sleep but still feeling extremely tired. I feel so exhausted that I just need to lay down. At times I will sleep for 3 hours at a time. I'm so out that I don't even hear the phone ring or hear my daughter call for me. Lucky for me my hubby is at home. When he does have to go out, I make myself go out with my daughter for her safety. I'm so afraid if I fall asleep something can happen to her. This all started when we up'd the MTX. It has not gotten any better. Now that I'm off it it still is happening. I feel like this daily. I have to watch how much I do earlier that day if I need to do something later that day. I have had to cancel things because of how I feel. Is this an RA thing or am I still having affects from the MTX? I am now on Humaria. Just took my shot a week ago. So far I haven't noticed if it is working yet. Another thing I have going on is my throat. If I talk very loud I sound like I'm losing my voice. When I sing I can't fully sing a whole song without my throat hurting. It does hurt when I wake in the morn but goes away after I have coffee. If I talk to much it hurts. Not sure what to make of this. It has been going on for a long time now. One more thing. I was going to physical therapy and the therapist said my muscles are so tight. I'm not flexible at all. She was so shocked. I know the past 5 years my muscles have gotten worse. The doc said that if my joints are inflamed that could put pressure on the muscles that surround it. In a way I feel so tense all the time everywhere. I have a bad lower back and always thought that was the cause of most of it. Now I'm not sure it is all my back issues. Something is not right. Can RA have something to do with muscles in anyway like this? Thank you in advance for all your input. I just need to figure this all out. I go back to the doc in 5 weeks. If anyone has any info I should know about Humaria since I'm new to it I would love to hear it. When I did my 1st shot all I kept thinking about was the song by " the man in black " the ring of fire song. Lol. I kept singing ....burn burn burn the ring of fire.....the burn feel was the worse thing about it. Lol. Thanks, Cheli
Guest guest
Well, the throat thing happens to me too. I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis for years and the last few sometimes I can barely speak, it happens often, the glands seem to cut off not your breath, but your ability to speak, it interrupts that. Its quite annoying. Sometimes you cant muster the energy to force your voice either. happens alot. Inflammation makes everything worse too. You have to go to an otolaryngologist who will of course want to invade your throat and have a look (scope you). Another wonderful diagnostic adventure. You need the endocrinologist to see if you should keep your thryroid, work the synthroid more, or whatever (another adventure)...
