Guest guest
I am also new to this group and still awaiting my final diagnosis. My cousin has lived with it for 10 years. I commend you both for your strength. I have only had this one extreme flare (been going on 1 month and achy joints for last 5 years), so I can't imagine how you have dealt with this for so long. I am already depressed. My MRI shows a bulging disc in my lower back. I can't believe I already have that much damage back there. Now I know how my cousin has felt for so long. She was diagnosed at age 34 and I am age 39. I am awaiting my RA factor test still. This disease is so horrible, I sometimes think I might have something worse and not RA. I get scared a lot. Very scared. I'm glad to have you to talk with. Welcome to the group and I hope you are doing as well as possible. Susie, Indiana
Guest guest
Hi Susie, Hello & welcome to you also. Yes, RA is sure no fun and for the first 3 years I was in denial. But I have finally gotten over that and accepted that this is the hand I was dealt and I have to play it. And once you accept it, it gets easier to deal with it. It doesn't make it any less painful, but you learn to live with the pain. It's okay to be scared but know that you are not alone in this. All of us here are with you. And if you need to talk, you can email me personally. Take it a day at a time, Shay in Michigan -- [ ] Hello Shay, nice to meet you I am also new to this group and still awaiting my final diagnosis.
