Guest guest
Hello, I thought I would say hi and express a thought that might not be very popular. I don't write very often because it seems that a few people don't like to hear any negative feedback about the operation. I read some of the post and I get concerned that people are going to be mad, if I say anything bad about my doctor or about people who have died. I try not to say anything negative until I go through the full duodenal switch experience. Since I had the operation, I have felt sad, mad, glad, depressed and a whole lot of other emotions I can't explain. There have been times I thought this was a very dumb decision on my part to have this operation. There were times I was mad at my doctor. There were times I felt like everything was going to be allright. There were times I thought I was losing my mind. If you asked me a month ago if I would have the duodenal switch operation again I would have said " no " . If you ask me the same question now,I would say " I don't know " . Maybee I will say yes by christmas. There have been people who have been asking my opinion about the surgery but I have been scared to give any advice until I go through the full experience. I suppose it will take me some time to put all of this in perspective. The only thing I have to say to the pre ops is that this is a serious, serious, decision to make and there is a chance you can die. This is not a light decision and listen to the negative as much as the positive. I do love you all and I pray for you all the time. Please keep me in your prayers and Godbless.
