Guest guest
Hi Nae I am more a lurker here..dont often post. You are right it is a small world.lol I didnt realise that what you had done to your wrists is exactly?the same as I had done to my left wrist.. Took the bone from my hip as well. Anyway that didnt work so I had to have it done again?so the next??time they used bone from the bone bank . My right wrist was just fused with pins. Love Joyce ..uk Hello all, I've been lurking for a while to see if in fact I would fit in here. Seems I will, hopefully. I'm 66, dxd w/RA at 16, symptoms at 13. Over all these years I've had almost every med offered on the market, with great success! I've just started on Enbrel after being on mtx, Predisone & folic acid for almost 20 years. Before that was gold injections. I raised 5 children, almost alone, with this disease. So I know what a struggle it is. Sometimes the pain is relentless but somehow we muddle through, right? Thankfully, the worst deformity I have is my right hand & both wrists. Both hands/arms have had at least 2 surgeries each with the wrists being removed, bone from hip formed a past and reinforced w/plates and screws. So Imagine operating w/o your wrists bending =) of course some of you probably already have that. I apologize for not being too familiar with everyone, but I hope to do so. I have noticed one friend already. It's good to see a familiar face =) Thanks for having me & I'll try to stay as caught up as possible. If there is ANYTHING I can say or do to help in supporting any way, I hope to do so. We all need every ounce of information & support we can get.
