Take a look at the Specific Carbohydrate Diet in addition to GFCF.

You can find info at www.pecanbread.com

I agree with your desire not to medicate. Happy and outgoing is

what you want him to be!!! You are a good mom.

What happens if you reintroduce a fruit? Does he react? I hope the

enzymes work for you. I have no ADHD children so I can't help out

much. I do know that many find the SCD experience much better than

GFCF.

Take care,

Dear Alice,

I strongly recommend the book Healing ADD by Amen, a physician

specializing in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry who has done nuclear

brain imaging and found 6 types of ADD. He has dietary, supplement,

lifestyle, and other suggestions (including medication for those using meds)

for the six different types.

Have you had your son's metals tested? Both of my kids have high levels of

copper and low zinc. One manifests symptoms of autism, the other ADD. My

son with ADD is hypoglycemic, and giving him frequent snacks has helped a

lot with his attention. DMAE has also helped. I have heard many people say

that a three week completely dairy-free trial can make all the difference in

the world for some kids. Unfortunately, since his brother doesn't drink

milk because of his autism, this is an emotionally laden issue for my son

with ADD son, and we haven't done it yet...

Hope this helps...

Hi Molly

Nice to have you here. There's a lot of information in the archives and

Files section that will help you with natural perfumery. It's

summer/vacation time, so the list is a little slow (only 200+ posts last

month), but feel free to ask questions and we see of some of us that can't

get to the beach (and I live in Miami!) can help you. Check out the ads on

the first of the month, you'll find some great suppliers and buys there.

Most of all, kick back, and enjoy the 'fumes ;-)

>Hey all my name is Kim. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and I just turned 30.

==>Hi Kim. Welcome to our wonderful group. We're glad you joined up.

You certainly have come to the right place!

>I didn't go to a doctor to get a diagnosis. I am pretty sure from

research and my own body that I have candida. If I eat sugar, excess (

more than 2 times a week) carbs/pasta/bread/fries and soda I have a

nasty reaction and I feel sick and always tired. Enough crying about

it...I am ready to kick it out my body...no more free rent Candida!

==>LOL! I like that " no more free rent Candida! Sounds like you've

got lots of spirit and spunk and that will serve you well beating this

beast.

==>No tests for candida are conclusive anyway; Dr. Crook's Candida

Questionnaire is best - in my main article sent to you " How to

Successfully Overcome Candida " or in our Files (left menu) under

My name is Dottie, I am 63 and have OA, RA, Lupus, and a few other things.

Diagnosed with lupus in 2005, OA, about 10 years before that, and RA in 2009

The Rheumatologist has me on Methotrexate for the RA. It was doing fairly

well until last week when my left thumb started really paining me.

I have been on Diclofenac Sod. (Voltaren) for about 5-6 years for the OA and

it was helping me. Then the Rheumatologist told me he wanted me to try to

reduce this because of the possible liver damage it could bring in long term

use. I weaned myself down to one pill a day, then I was able to go one whole

week without any pills. I really think I should have just stayed on them

because this week without brought on much more pains. Coincidence? Maybe.

He did give me a sample of the Voltaren gel, which I used and like, but

financial problems and the need to reduce my health insurance to something I

can afford has me now without prescription coverage until November. I was

paying $616.00 a month and just could not do it anymore. With this VERY

basic one I am down to $312. A month. Voltaren gel costs $150.00 a tube here

in NJ.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Dottie
