Guest guest
Judi!!! So glad to see you posting, we really need you here. Hope you stay awhile, and let others get to know what a great woman you are. Hugs, Tawny > > Some of you may remember me, many of you I have never met. I found this group about 10 years ago when I didn't know what was wrong with me. I was later diagnosed with fibromyalgia and finally with Dercum's Disease (adiposis dolorosa.) This past year they have added lymphedema/lipedema to the list. > > Two years ago we moved from Indiana to Georgia to be close to our daughter, newly remarried (for the 3rd time!) and with 5 kids. Georgia didn't work out, too hot, too buggy, and too much time babysitting. My husband is 72 and has Parkinson's, so I am his caregiver in addition to dealing with my own challenges. So we moved back to northern Illinois, now living in a wonderful apartment complex with free golf, a fitness center, and a pool. We've both adjusted to our health shortfalls with new interests, and serving our church. > > I just wanted to check in and say hi to all my old friends and some new ones, and if you have never heard of Dercum's, check it out on the web. It's considered a rare disease, but maybe more under-diagnosed or misdiagnosed than rare. > > Judi the Zebra >
