Guest guest
I can't see why not. Food is not a 'taboo' subject, in fact most of us are here to try and re-create a better relationship with food as it is one of the basics of life! What IE encourages is eating to fuel our bodies but also doing do in a joyous manner because food is a pleasure in life, not something we should fear or distrust. Some posts back there was a love-it/hate-it topic where everyone posted foods that fit into those categories for them. Is that what you had in mind? Guest guest
What I was wanting to do was post about my first intuitive shopping trip and what I bought to start practicing. so here goes. I just got back from my first IE shopping adventure. I bought 5 of my favorite foods: grapenuts, chunky blue cheese dressing, pudding, a yummy bread and Ice cream which was hard to put it in the cart, my diet police were fighting every step of the way. When I got home what I was hungry and what did I want.....you got it the ice cream....I had one bowl (I usually eat if from the carton). I sat down at the table and enjoyed every bite. When I finished I wanted more, so i asked myself are you still hungry and yes I still had some room, hence I had a little more, then I stopped without any trouble at all. This new food adventure is so much fun. I also got from the library..Intuitive eating A revolutionary progam that works. And my best friend decided to join me in my adventure. Guest guest
Neat fun!! I am glad you told the diet police to 'cease and desist', especially about the ice cream! When I started reading I thought maybe your cart would be full of chocolate, sour cream, cookies and all those previously 'forbidden' foods. But really your haul sounded quite normal and sensible to me. Enjoy enjoy enjoy!
