Guest guest
I finally got in to see a rheumatologist yesterday and she wants me to start on methotrexate. I've had RA symptoms for the past several months (came on very suddenly one day, practically overnight). She advised that side effects from the injections would be less than from oral administration, and also more effective. Additionally, she recommended taking it with the B vitamin, folic acid, to help lessen side effects. Heidi, what side effects did you experience? I'm still trying to decide what to do. I tend to agree with Ros when she said that the cause or trigger of autoimmune disorders seems to be a " stealth bacteria. " (I had a tooth abscess back in 2009, at which time I started to have symptoms of Sjogren's, and now RA.) So I'm thinking that taking minocycline might be the better way to go. It's all so confusing. Jan On Mar 4, 2011, at 10:03 AM, Heidi Kimball wrote: > ...... I have enough side effects from > the Methotrexate that I don't need any others.
