Finger and toe nails falling off

Thanks Barbara for the kind words.  My nails don't hurt very bad but yes it gets

pretty sore. My fingers are bending up, right at the joints, so the nail can't

grow right.  I am not on the enbrel anymore and I hope to get back on it. Since

I left the RA doc abruptly I ran out of the script.

 

I think its the fibromyalgia hurts worse than the RA most of the time. The

lyrcia for fibro cause me to gain 140 lbs. I ask the old RA doc I needed

something elsse for the fibro. (Of course the RA hurts too). She insisted I take

the lyrcia. I been off the lyrcia for 3 months and lost about 45 lbs so far. I

am on a new drug for fibro called sevella. It's not working yet so maybe it

needs time to get in my system. Like a lot of people I have my crying and

moaning times of pain.

 

About the finger and toe nails. Either they have to straighten out my fingers

(and toes) or remove the nails permenently. They are awfull looking too. dark

and brown coloration. I tape them up till they come off. (the tape will bring it

off eventually) so not a lot of pain just some acheing pain.

 

I just called my primary doctor and left a message that the kadian makes me sick

24/7 so I had to stop taking them so I can take my other important meds. Waiting

for an answer now. Kadian is morphine with time release. My primary doctor gave

me the sevella for fibro till I see my new RA doc.

 

I noticed I can't send mail the old way to the group. Has it changed since I

wrote??

I have always prayed for our group. My heart goes out reading how everyone is

suffering. This is the 21 century. We should have help for this suffering. I

can't understand how a doctor let us suffer when we have proof of this pain. I

know those that have this agony would not abuse these pain meds by selling them

giving them away. It just don't make any sence to me. God bless all and take

care.

I was put on the Sevella by my Primary doc when I thought I couldn't afford

Lyrica and I took it for a good 3 weeks before going to Lyrica. I am sorry the

Lyrica caused so much weight gain, I gained about 20 pounds but it really is the

best one that I have tried. I also have fibro and RA and feel your pain. God
