I have read that Zyrtec has a slightly higher incidence of causing

drowsiness than Allegra or Claritin do, so it's possible that some of the

other side effects might be worse with some antihistimines than with

others. For anyone who is having problems with Zyrtec, it might be worth

trying one of the other two.

I took the Zyrtec for about 5 days in a row, and I think it made me feel a

little down (depressed). I checked to see if that was a side effect and it

was listed (in the rare category). I tend to be very sensitive to meds. I

also felt kind of " spacey " . Anyway, I've discontinued for now and am using

the dye free benadryl as needed. I actually think it works better on the

redness. Just another example that we are all unique and need to stayed

tuned to our bodies messages.
