The last time I posted I was starting enbrel. I was on it for 7 weeks and got

my first real bad sinus infection. So all meds were stopped. My rheummy told

me to go to my doctor for that. So I had to find one. Anyway, went to a doctor

which is actually a walk in clinic but he also take patients and appts. His

office has everything from drawing blood to x-rays to ultrasound which I had all

of the above.

He gave me 3 shots. One for pain, one was for inflammation and the other was an

antibiotic. Wow did that antibiotic hurt.

Finds were I was that I had anemia which I've known for months. He told me to

get on calcium and vitamin D for that. He also gave me something called

ergocalcifer which is supposed to help with absorbing the calcium. He also

found more arthritis and wants to do a bone scan to check for OA.

My thoughts are this....I'm feeling better than when I was on enbrel and mtx.

I'm less swollen, a lot less swollen. I still hurt plenty but I'm less swollen.

Has anyone had that happen? I'm not on any drugs right now till my next rheummy

appt in July which is ok with me.

Is that strange to be less swollen being off the meds than when I was on them?

Just wondering if there were any thoughts on that.

Maty
