Guest guest
Just opened a bottle of diet soft drink after not having it for a few months. It tasted revolting! I cant believe i used to drink that all the time. I love that IE has taught me about eating and drinking what i really really want and love the taste of, no matter what the nutritional value. It kind of makes me mad that there are these drinks being made with so much rubbish in them. Yet we drink them because they have no calories. If only we stopped to read whats in them, sometimes the ingredients look like they should be in a household cleaner! So thats my winge for today. I know that IE is all about no food/drink being bad. This was just a small victory for me to realise my tastes have completely changed and i now go for real foods and drinks.
Guest guest
Thanks for posting about that . Last weekend I had to detox myself off Diet Pepsi. I had been drinking sooo much of it while dieting. It helped quell the hunger pangs and gave me energy when I wasn't getting it from food. I felt ill and lifeless for three days last weekend from not getting my caffeine fix. But I've felt much better after those first few days and don't need it because now I eat real food for energy when I need it. Guest guest
Wonderful discovery Great to read how you are re-tuning in on YOUR preferences. Ever so often I do catch myself reacting with the old 'good/bad' thinking of food & drink too. I found that I end up more judgmental towards myself when I use those 'titles' so I now use Yum and Yuck instead to describe my reaction to what I've eaten/drank. It so puts it into a better perspective for me Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Just opened a bottle of diet soft drink after not having it for a few > months. It tasted revolting! Guest guest
Jennie, I've done the same thing when on diets that called for x amount of water a day. I'd down all that water and drink nothing else. It'll be nice to start listening to my body and finding what it needs.
