Guest guest
Hi Stan, You don't know me--I am sort of an occasional visitor to the group. I don't have RA, but Dercum's Disease, fibromyalgia, fibromatosis, and lipedema/lymphedema. The only time I have been tolerably comfortable and in less pain was when we were visiting family in Las Vegas. I actually hiked around a bit in the desert! We lived for a year in the north Atlanta area, and it nearly killed both my husband and me (he has Parkinson's.) Cold, damp, or warm, damp weather is the worst for both of us. We recently moved back to northern Illinois, and while it is colder in winter, the humidity is lower. We played golf yesterday (and that is a funny story for another time) and both of us marinated in the pool for about an hour, took our pain meds, and went to bed totally wiped last night. But this morning, we were both up bright and early with no ill effects from yesterday's activities, save sunburnt noses. Judi
Guest guest
Just finished J. Fox's book, Always looking up, which involves a great deal of his efforts about the foundation he created to find a cure for Parkinson's, throughout the book I was thinking how great it would be if we had such an advocate for Rheumatoid Arthritis. There's lot's of room to play gold in Nevada...ah...bring a bottle of water.
