[ ] Cortisone ankle shots

Hi group!  My name is .  I have RA and fibro, and a few secondary

conditions due to the RA.  I recently had cortisone shots in both ankles and

after a week, I am still experiencing a huge flare.  Lot's of pain even to my

knees.  Anyone else have experience with these shots in the ankles?

Thank you Melynda and Jody for replying to my post. 10 days after the ankle

shots and I'm still in so much pain. Having trouble standing and walking.

After taking Humira for 3 years, up to once a week, I stopped 5 months ago

because I wasn't sure it was still helping, and wanted to test the waters

without a biologic (was on enbrel before which didn't help much), and now have

been on methotrexate and predinsone. I'm thinking I need to start my Humira or

another biologic again. Sometimes with the fibro combo it's hard to tell what

is what, and today in tears again from pain, I'm still hoping the ankle shots

will kick in and maybe I will feel better. I have RA and fibro for 12 years

with a cervical fusion, secondary sjogren's and Raynaud's. I'm still working

although with light duties and doing some pool exercises, but it is a lot of

work to keep this up. I have had facet joint injections, trigger points, radio

frequencies, multiple pain and RA meds, and the list goes on. Yet, within this

there is hope and faith that I will feel better again. It seems that the

aggressive treatment at the onset helped prevent further joint damage. Today, I

just want to accept where I am, and not take this flare personally. Thank you

all, I wish you health and peace,
