Guest guest
Thanks for your message Kim. It makes me feel hopeful that one day I can also experience that freedom and get rid of my scale > > Hi everyone, > > I have been doing alot of " work " on accepting my body. When I was younger, I definitely strove for the perfect model look - I thought it was the only shape to be and anything different from that was not good enough. > > Growing a little older and having children started me on the change of how I " should " look. I started to accept my body the way it was and appreciate it strengths and " good parts " . > > Reading the principle " Respect Your Body " really helped! I especially liked the comparison of shoe sizes - My foot is a size 7.5. I would never expect to be able to wear a size 6!! Yet, I tried for years to force my weight and body down to a size than was " acceptable " ! Insanity! I'm only 5' tall, and pear shaped. And I'm learning to love my body. > > Now I feel comfortable, natural and accepting of my body (most of the time-LOL). What a freedom. It also makes it much easier to IE when I'm not so focused on how I " should " look or what I " should " weigh. > > Like a few of you, I threw out my scale. Sometimes it makes me crazy that I don't know how much I weigh, no matter the rationalization of " it doesn't matter " . Logically, I know it's just a number, but there are moments when I really want to know the number!! That feeling always passes. > > Ok, this is long enough! Thanks for listening > Kim H. >
Guest guest
Hi Kim This is great! I am trying to do that too, but struggling... I remember one of my friend telling me, that after having a child, you can`t hate your body anymore, for doing such a miracle. Take care, Nat > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > I have been doing alot of " work " on accepting my body.
