Guest guest
Hi everyone - as soon as I thought I was getting better, a new and frightening symptom happened today. For some time now, I have had very dry skin around my feet. There was a very, very, small patch of extra scaly area on my ankle bone for some time now. I have never had any pain or problems with it. I always thought it was just dry skin. I now see that it is very numb. It does not really hurt, but it seems to be getting darker, like a bruise. The other skin around my feet is very red and my heels have been sore, like " stone bruises " . Also occasionaly my big toe on that foot feels like it wants to flex downward. I am so scared. I am afraid it is vasculitis. It isn't a very big spot, a little bigger than quarter size, but I am worried to death. My test is not until the day after tomorrow. Then I don't know how long it will be to get the results. I am so scared to wait much longer before going to see someone about it. Should I go ahead and try to see a Rheumatologist tomorrow morning? I don't want to lose my foot. This is really scaring me. I am scared to death. Please help. Thanks Susie
Guest guest
Hi Susie: I don't know what is going on with your foot, but it doesn't sound good to me. I would def. call your Rheumy or your PCP. My drs. have told me it is better to call and be seen, then to let something go. I have learned not to wait. We just never know if something is serious or not. Please let me know how you are doing. Also, good luck on your tests.
