Guest guest
Debbie: Welcome to the group and you have come to the right place. Is your daughter's JRA mainly in her one knee, or has it spread? My 8 year old daughter was diagnosed 1 year ago and her JRA is mainly in both knees and ankles/heels. She also has cysts on the back of her knees, but with medication we've not had to go through the draining process -- as you just did. Keep in touch with the group..so much to learn and this is the place! God Bless, Sandi A. (Ashli's mom)
Guest guest
Hi Debbie, My baby has DS,8,he is better at home than at school.I think I would rather have him good at school because I am back and forth to school many times a week.Zeb is very stubborn too and tries the control issues with me often.I am grateful to have a big husband that just picks him up and puts him on his bed. We tell him that he can come out when he can behave so he doesn't push to much at home.If he doesn't want to go to the store or out I leave him at home. I don't think the fight is worth it.Welcome. Guest guest
good for you!!! Yes we all must pick our battles, this is often key to behavior situations and our stress levels. I often too ask nathan if he wants to go to ............ with me and if he does mostly anymore he is pretty good, during the early school ages he was a butt often, running off, wet noodle etc but he out grew them mostly, and he has learned t communicate better too, i think this has helped in behavior areas greatly. shawna. Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Debbie. Lately I've been more of a lurker than a contributor, but if something stirs my brain cells, I participate. You will find lots of wonderful people here. Our Moderator, , supplies us with innumerable articles of case studies and research. We all give and take, so I thank you for sharing your story. I also take 0.8ml MTX via injection and Enbrel Sure-Click pens weekly. It does keep me moving, but sometimes I still get so bummed that I can't go back to the way I was before this RA took hold (8+ years now). Mostly I thank God for each and every day. Life is a blessing - good, bad or ugly. I pray this group will be all you need and more!..... Doreen Hi, My name is Debbie and am new to the group but not to RA. I was diagnosed in the early '90s and within the last 5 yrs developed psoratic RA. I take methotrexate and Embrel, which so far keeps me moving. I signed up for the group just to be able to share and learn. Thank-you, Debbie
