Guest guest
I havent been recommended to use DHEA and there is experimenting and messing around with things that I dont understand, I am a bit more careful about how I go about using hormones, could cause more harm than good, was you told to use it or did you decide for yourself?--- On Sun, 21/9/08, marsaday1971 <jphenderson@...> > MY DHEA LEVELS WERE LOW, SHOULD THIS HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED BEFORE > STARTING CORTISOL? Guest guest
You need to wait and see what effect the HC has on you . Once you get your cortisol boosted, your DHEA may rise accordingly. If not, there would be no problem in using 25 mgs DHEA to raise the level, in the same way that you any of the other hormones you are not making. Guest guest
You said in a preivous message "I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MY SEX HORMONES ARE, I WAS NEVER TOLD OR ASKED THIS BEFORE STARTING CORTISONE".Oestrogen is just one of your sex hormones, the others being progesterone and testosterone. Bob was just respondong to your statement. Ask your GP if you have had such tests done lately, and if not, ask for them to be done. Guest guest
Hi , last year my Rheumy gave me two cortisone shots in the left ankle on separate occasions, but I was still experiencing pain. So I went to my podiatrist (he's very experienced and been in practice for thirty years) and he seemed to pinpointexactly where I needed the shot and it took care of the pain for seven months. I then must have done something because the pain started up again. So I went to my podiatrist and I suggested physical therapy before we tried cortisone again. The physical therapy (2x a week for a month) didn't help. Took the cortisone shot and my ankle is doing much better. Hope this helps.
