Digital Enhancement of Photos

We all know that the media shows us images of unrealistic bodies,

bodies that don't exist in nature - but wow! this surprised me.

This site is a digital portfolio of a guy's work, but it might just as

well be about how even naturally gorgeous people are airbrushed and

digitally " enhanced " .

The link is for the woman in the bikini, but even the man in the

sweater is not immune to the art director's scrutiny.

For sure enhanced photos bombard us from all media. But to me this

reflects the UNREALISTIC attitude that people accept as desirable and

obtainable. The number of people who actually HAVE (naturally) those

types of bodies are a very small percent of people and the number of

people who force that appearance upon themselves do so at major risk

to their health - mental as well as physical. This is what I remind

myself whenever I see those images.
