Guest guest
Barbara Why is that? I have heard many of you talk about it but Elmer doesn't do it. Is it because they can get a grip and they feel safe in a doorway or am I missing the point? Or, is it a control issue? They can get a grip and they can make you stop if they get latched onto something solid. Just wondering what the logic is with doorways? Guest guest
Dear Sally: The freezing stuff is all Parkinson symptoms as is the scaly dandruff. When Ken first started taking Sinemet, his dandruff disappeared, his speech became louder, he walked faster, and his arms began to swing again. In other words, all his symptoms disappeared, and he seemed perfectly well as long as he took the sinemet. He did not develop the symptoms of SDS until more than ten years later. I realize that he is sort of unusual in that the Sinemet and Comtan which are for PD still help him greatly. If he did not take them, he would be unable to move. If he did not take Florinef and Midodrine, he would be unable to stand, and if he did not take Aricept, he would be unable to think. I really do not quite understand why Elmer is not taking some medications for his symptoms. If they work at all, it is better than not. Is there some special reason why he was taken off everything?
