Thank you for sharing your inspiring story as well Sheri I have enjoyed reading it very much. Eva

I have been doing IE since January and have been lurking since then. I have read every digest post religiously. The way I started IE is a little ironic. My work started a Biggest Loser competition and I had heard of IE and thought this was the motivation to try it. If I had been reading the book or these posts beforehand, I would have realized that weighing in every other week and making peace with food should not be compatible. Even so, I steadily lost about 3 pounds every two weeks. The competition ended in April and I immediately started losing less (about a pound every two weeks, now at 26 pounds). I know I shouldn't keep weighing, but it's hard to resist when the number keeps dropping. I must have been more strict about the eating when hungry, stopping when full thing during the competition. Yesterday when I read all the success stories, I decided that if I got strict again, I would probably lose the three pounds a week again. Almost immediately, I went to talk to someone in the break room. She was eating chips and salsa and I dived in with her when I knew I wasn't hungry. I realized instantly that it was a kind of diet rebellion. That realization actually thrills me. I know I don't have to go crazy, just stick to what I'm doing. I am mostly waiting until I'm hungry and I am eating a lot less. I have reached a point where the thought of really overdoing it makes me sick. I don't miss the bloated, sick feeling I so frequently had. My irritable bowel problem has mostly gone away. Keeping snack food handy has made a huge difference. I was letting myself get way too hungry between lunch and dinner, then way overdoing dinner. Anyway, this has been a thrilling learning experience ride and I know I will never go back to dieting. Thank you all for continuing to inspire me.Sheri------------------------------------
