Cheryle (aka Tess) and group.

I looked up psoriatic RA. It discribes what has been going on with me for the

past year. I had RA for the last 5 years. It scares me what RA can do. It can

affect organs also. I found this out when I joined this group. I am so sorry

you  have it too. I really appreciate you commenting on it. I never heard of

pysoriatic RA. My primary doc was giving me fungle cream for it which made

it swell . He sent me to a dermatolgist and he said it was psoriasis. I learned

it was psoriatic RA when I saw my new RA doc a few weeks ago.

I feel great now that at least I know what it is. It feels better I am not the

only soul that has it. That sounds bad but I think you know what I mean. Is

yours under control? I just started enbrel. My rheumy said it may clear it up

cause the last time I was on enbrel I didnt have it. What are you taking for

it??? I am allergic to most RA meds. Methotrexate was one that broke me out in

bad hives. I been on enbrel for 2 weeks now. Praying that it works. I go to see

my rheumy this week. .........I will let everyone know what happens.

kind gently hugs

Clora

Hi Clora...I have Psoriatic Arthritis...actually the doctors have gone back and

forth with me on several diagnoses including PsA.  Their most recent consensus

is an overlap between PsA and RA.

I do have yucky psoriasis, but the pattern of joint involvement more closely

aligns with RA.

Hi Clora...what has helped me for the last few years is Humira with injections

of methotrexate.  I certainly wish you well!

I use to take Humira. My last RA doc took me off and put me on enbrel. Humira

stopped a lot more of the pain than enbrel, but she said it wasn't stopping the

progression and put me on enbrel. I only been on ebrel 2 weeks now. I am severly

allargic to methotrexate.

thanks

Clora

Hi Clora.  I am glad you finally found out what is going on in your body.  I

pray the new RA med. works well for you, and that you aren't allergic to it.  I

also hope  the new med. helps you heal your hand and foot nails.

My thought and prayers are with you.  Hope you are able to rest often, and I

wish you many pain free days ahead.

Hugs,

Barbara

Barbra, You was the first one I got to know here. I am so glad to know you. I

remember when you consoled me when I was in so much pain and you even got mad at

my rheumy lol. I got a new rheumy, I stayed at that other one to long. This doc

seems to be more conserned about his patients.I feel better days ahead. I

believe in prayer. thanks so much.
