Guest guest
Sheila, I don't know too much about the Mass General in terms of MSA. One of the folks in the New England support group was diagnised there (initially diagnosed with Parkinson's.) My husband rob sees Dr. Roy Freeman at Beth Israel Deaconess, and we are quite pleased with his care. Dr. Freeman is a good and caring man as well as a good doctor. Do you live near Boston? We would love to have you join the support group, if that works for you. Let me know if you are interested and I will add you to the list. I'm hoping to have a meeting in late September or early November. Please feel free to email me privately (cblanger@...) if you want more information. Guest guest
hi! i don't have ANY knowledge of MASS GEN. but i was a premie (7 months old) born in 1943! looking back on my life and my inabities i think a dx of MSA would have been appropiatel. when i developed SCA 6 and was diagnosed in 1997 things are now even worse. but i feel i was dx very late in the game as i ALWAYS was awkward and clumsy and accident prone--i just thought i was a bit more so when SCA 6 kicked in. what is your story? <<< hugs, pamela
Guest guest
Sheila, Did you say you live in CT? If so, I once heard of a movement disorder specialist in or near New Haven that was recommended -- has seen PD+ disorders. I think his name was Dr. Ken Merick -- but I can verify that if you are interested.
