Guest guest
Hi all, It's Leonie here again in Australia. I hope I haven't toally missed my window of opportunity in treating my RA - please pray for me that I haven't. I've left it for nearly 10 years, doing cockamamie natural therapies which didn't work. I've tried lots of things to no avail, and I kinda feel ripped off that so many supposed experts on the net promise to cure one of RA with some special diet or supplement etc - it's all a lie. It's just not true in most cases. RA is not curable - maybe a few manage to escape it due to the right circumstances, but that's all. I'd rather have cancer - at least you do hear about people who cured themself of that one ! The supps and diet I took got rid of some of the pain which fooled me into thinking my disease wasnt so bad after all. Meanwhile it was very bad !! My joints have all gone to potand I've already had one total joint replacement operation which stressed me out badly. I was just so scared of DMARDs and still am - I kept thinking there must be something out there for me ! I have no choice now anyway- the disease is finally getting vicious and I need to control it before it controls me. ... well it's already controlled me big time since I can't do a darn thing any more. Walking around the block is like running a marathon. I took MTX about 3 months ago when I got desperate and it make my chest and windpipe hurt big time, so now I'm petrified. I'm going to start slower this time. Hope it works cos I don't fancy doing Arava. I'm soooo depressed. Thanks for listening. best wishes, Leonie > > : > > > > Please also consider the fact that heavy medication (DMARDS and > > bilogics) is not the only route available.
