Guest guest
Hello aasawyer@..., In reference to your comment: è Neuroforamin is one word according to Stedman's so it è is just adding al. I have used this many times. I beg to differ. I've checked Stedman's Psych/Neuro and Stedman's Concise, and I did not find it combined. By the way, it's foramen, not foramin. Just to be on the safe side, I checked Dorland's and did not find " neuroforamenal " in their either. I believe it should be neural foraminal. Guest guest
Hello aasawyer@..., In reference to your comment: è Stedman's Orhtopaedic & Rehab Words third è edition lists it as NEUROFORAMEN on page 403. By golly, it sure does list it that way. I wonder why it's listed that way in the Ortho book, but not in the Psych/Neuro book?? hmmmmm Jan " Typing is my life " (said sarcastically) Remember... Guest guest
Aliceanne: I don't find neuroforamin in either my Stedman's Electronic or my Stedman's Psychiatry/Neurology/Neurosurgery words. In which of the Stedman's books did you find it? Thanks. Jayni Re: neuroforaminal? one word? Neuroforamin is one word according to Stedman's so it is just adding al. I have used this many times. Guest guest
What book and/or electronic version of Stedman's has neuroforamin? This does not seem correct even in the fact that in noun form it should be foramen, and I find it two words in Orth, Rad and Neuro, as in neural foramen. Using this example I would go with neural foraminal. Guest guest
Stedman's Orhtopaedic & Rehab Words third edition lists it as NEUROFORAMEN on page 403. I have had 6 lumbosacral surgeries and this is theonly way I saw it spelled. Guest guest
My Stedman's Ortho & Rehab Words (Third Edition) lists it as neuroforamen too. However, My Stedman's electronic dictionary sees that as a mispelling and suggests the correction of spelling it as two words. Is this another example of a mistake in the Stedman's books? Well, that makes 3 I've come across now... Please advise - One word or two? Morrow, CMT Accu-Script Transcription Service accuscript1@... Guest guest
Yes, this is another example of a mistake in Stedman's books. It is neural foramen, two words. It is listed correctly in the books where I always look when checking on nerves (in the Neuro/Neurosurgery words book and in the Radiology words book); however, it is listed incorrectly in the Orthopedic words book. Go figure. Margaret >>> " accuscript1 " 02/12/02 12:40PM >>> My Stedman's Ortho & Rehab Words (Third Edition) lists it as neuroforamen too. Guest guest
Actually the ortho book has it listed both ways. I guessed I quit looking when I found it in there as two words. :^/ Quixote Re: neuroforaminal? one word? > > > > > > > Neuroforamin is one word according to Stedman's so it is just > > adding al. > > > I have used this many times. > > > Aliceanne > > > On Tue, 12 Feb 2002 16:11:55 -0000 " tjisit4me " > > > > > writes: > > > > She did have an MRI scan of the lumbar spine done last May, > > which > > > > showed some mild arthritic degenerative disc changes with some > > mild > > > > > > > > proximal neuroforaminal narrowing at each level > > > > > > > > Is neuroforaminal one word?
