Guest guest
when i saw this post i thought it was about me, but then i haven't posted here in awhile how could they know?!?!?! (someone saw on facebook??) but no it wasn't me so i can sympathize i had pain in my foot for a couple weeks in jan. just figured i needed a cortisone injection. 2 weeks later i could take the pain no more. went to the foot dr and fracture in my 5th metatarsal on my driving foot. just great! so home i sat on the couch for 6 weeks, had my son shopping for me, a neighbor would help with the snow shoveling and take out my garbage. i almost lost everything since i wasn't bringing home a paycheck. ssd just doesn't make it here. they threatened to repo my car, even thought i made that pymt i had another loan thru the bank that was not getting paid. so i had to go back to work. that was feb 4th when i got into my boot. i have been using a bone growth stimulator for 2 months now and when i went in today. NO DIFFERENCE since the last x=ray. he is talking surgery to put in a pin, but we are fighting it. my blood sugar is out of control, i am a bad candidate for surgery. plus we would be talking another 6-8 weeks on the couch (for a healthy person!!) when i had the pin in my wrist. i was in a cast for 8 months!!! so now no progress, he tells me to stay off my foot. how long can i stay off my foot already?!?! my son has another baby at home now and doesn't have time or energy to help me anymore. i live check to check with about 3.00 left each week. arghhh!!! kathy in il

Guest guest
So since it is already healed, it healed wrong? If this is the case, can you go back to the first MD and tell him it is his fault for mis-diagnosing you and he should pick up the tab to get it fixed to heal right? Is this an option you would want? Reason I ask is that if it DID heal wrong, you may be in for continued pain down the road.
